A list of 24 abnormal plant spindles observed in meiotic division of PMCs in wide hybrids, meiotic mutants,
haploids, polyploids has been presented. The abonormalities arranged according to the course of normal prometaphase are
provided with descriptions of their morphogenesis and consequences, microphotographs and schemes. The spindle abnormalities
leading to meiotic restitution are registered.
