ORGANIZATION OF CYTOKINESIS IN THE PLANT CELL

This review involves consideration of morphological and functional aspects of cytokinesis, such as role of
microtubule and actin cytoskeleton as well as mechanisms of cell plate formation and phragmoplast expansion, spatial control
of division plan and cell cycle regulation, in addition to newly discovered mutations. Recent progress in understanding
mechanisms of cytokinesis in the plant cell is discussed.
